Hanging with the Landrums

We spent a couple of nights with Matt, Shandra, & Andrew Landrum this week. Matt & Shandra are friends from college. We had a fun time visiting & getting to see Andrew (who is almost 10 months old). We had to leave early because Jolie was running a fever. We are going to the doctor first thing in the morning. I'll update after our appointment.

We are loving being able to go outside & enjoy our backyard again. Jolie got a new slide today & she also discovered the sprinkler. She wasn't too excited about getting wet at first, but when Todd picked her up she didn't mind it!

Weekend at Caney Lake

We went up to Jimmie Davis State Park with Todd's family this weekend. We relaxed & the boys fished. Jolie loves ketchup just like her Grandpa - she too prefers Heinz :) She practically licked the ketchup off her plate!

We went up to Alexandria this weekend because Todd had something at Tall Timbers. We spend a couple hours playing outside with Jolie yesterday. She had a good time running around & playing with Murphy (Gran & PawPaw's cockerspaniel). I took the other pictures after we got back from church this morning. I thought she looked sweet in her hat.

Does anyone else think Jolie looks a little bit like her Aunt Sarah? I can't believe how similar their hair looks. I think they definitely favor.

My First Class Picture

Asleep at the table

Jolie fell asleep in her booster chair when she finished eating lunch. I transported her to her bed where she is sleeping right now. She was so asleep she didn't even wake up when I was taking these pictures!

Marathon Nap

We returned late Saturday night from Gran & PawPaw's camp at Larto Lake. Todd enjoyed fishing with Rich & Brandon. Jolie & I hung out with Suellyn in the trailor. Jolie wasn't feeling to well so we watched quite a few Baby Einstein videos! The pictures above are from the nap Jolie took Sunday afternoon. She slept almost 5 hours (I woke her up!). Going to the camp must have really worn her out!

Playing In The Kitchen

Jolie was playing in the kitchen earlier tonight. She is permitted to empty this particular cabinet, however, I am looking forward to her learning to put things back in the cabinet. She can empty it VERY quickly! Notice her runny nose - she has a bit of a cold, but hasn't been too down about it.

Doctor's Report

I took Jolie to her 15 month check up this morning & she is doing great. She is 23 lbs and approx. 30 inches. Dr. Wallace said she looks very healthy. He also commented on how much "charm" she has. He told Jolie that he was going to see patients all day, but didn't think he'd see another one as cute as her. She did great during his examination, but wasn't too thrilled about getting shots. She has 3 Bugs Bunny bandaids on her legs. I'll post a picture later.

Trapped

Our post-Rita backyard is still not safe for Jolie because we haven't replaced our fence. Until the fence goes up she'll have to be content taking walks in her "car" with Mommy & playing in the gated area in front of our front door. Hopefully we will get a new fence very soon!

Jolie wore the fun purple dress her Nonna gave her to church this morning. I attempted to take a few pictures of her in front of our azaleas, but she was not interested in standing in one place. Doesn't she look cute?

I decided to attempt to let Jolie eat some pudding with a spoon by herself tonight. She ended up VERY dirty, but it was fun to watch!

I decided to see if I could put Jolie's hair in pigtails tonight before we went to church & I was successful. I thought you'd all enjoy seeing how cute she looked.
