The tooth

Sarah's first tooth arrived a couple of weeks ago & is becoming more visible everyday. I caught this cute picture of the girls today & if you look closely you can see Sarah's little pearly white.

Jolie drew this picture the other day. We thought it was fun because it was the first time her "people" actually looked like people. She says it's our family, but there is one too many members. Maybe she knows something we don't know :) Isn't she talented?

More beach highlights

We had a great time at the beach with Todd's family. We wish we could see Aunt Susan, Uncle Zach & Uncle Hardy more often. Jolie told me today that Uncle Zach is her best friend because he took her to see the airplanes at the naval museum. It's good to be loved :) Special thanks to Gran & PawPaw for treating us to a special week!

Sarah's new talent

This video isn't the greatest, but you'll get the idea. Sarah learned to "click" her tongue this week & does it all the time! She is such a cutie!

Visit from Gran & PawPaw

We are back after a blogging break! Hopefully in the next day or two I can get around to posting some pictures from our recent adventures. Gran & PawPaw came to visit us the weekend before the 4th. We had a great time having them at our house. They even went with us to the Peach Festival in Ruston - fun times! Here are a couple of pictures from their visit:

We love Aunt Sarah!

Back to Birmingham

Aunt Sarah & Uncle Chad let us take over their house for a few more days this past weekend. Todd & Chad played lots of golf - 4 rounds to be exact. Sarah Kate & I hung out with the little girls. We had a great time! Here are some hightlights...

9 months - already!

Sarah is 9 months old today! Her first year is flying by! When I saw the new bikini her Nonna sent her I thought it would make a perfect "outfit" for her 9 month pictures.

At 9 months she is:

• Crawling
• Pulling to a stand
• Still nursing
• Still toothless
• Very content to play & not be held
• Loves interacting with Jolie
• Such a joy!

Staying cool

We broke out our new baby pool this week in an effort to stay cool outside. Jolie has been begging to get in it everyday. Here is she sporting her stylish Disney Princess swimsuit.

Swimming Lessons

Jolie had her first swimming lessons this week. One of our friends from church gives private lessons & was able to fit us in this week. She ended up doing quite well. She isn't swimming yet, but she has learned the basics & can practice the rest of the summer. Thanks to Mrs. Mindy for the fun time & treats!

I love this little sweetie! She is getting around so fast now & is even pulling to a stand all by herself. I love her sweet smile.

A little more Birmingham

Here are a few more pictures from our time in Birmingham. We had the best week & can't thank Aunt Sarah & Uncle Chad enough for letting us take over there house for an entire week! It was a great way to pass the time while Todd is away.

We went to the zoo on Tuesday & had a great time. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures:

Memorial Day

We made it to my sister's house on Sunday & have been having a great time! We enjoyed a Memorial Day BBQ with family and some good friends from our time at GA Southern Univ. Here are a couple of pictures of us hanging out at Aunt Sarah's neighborhood pool with the Keisler family. Little Anna Brooke (the blonde) is such a cutie!

Sleepy girls

We were running errands Monday afternoon getting Todd ready for his trip & this is what the girls looked like when we got home. We ended up leaving them in the car (with the doors open) while we unloaded & did a few things. They both looked so peaceful that I couldn't stand to wake them!

In other news, Todd & his gang of 19 headed off to Africa yesterday morning. The girls & I saw him off at 5am at the BCM. Jolie & I were snuggling on the couch last night & she said, "mommy, daddy is going to miss me." I asked her where her daddy was yesterday & she informed me that he was "riding on an airplane, not a helicopter." She is full of useful information!

Don't Go Breakin' My Heart

Jolie's new favorite movie is Chicken Little & she particularly enjoys singing & dancing to some of the songs on the soundtrack. I apologize for the camera work as I was either laughing or holding Sarah through most of my filming. I laugh out loud every time I see it & hope you enjoy it too! Sorry it's a little long.

Sarah at 8 months

Time is flying! I can't believe another month of Sarah's little life has already come & gone. She continues to be a precious baby. At 8 months she is:

• CRAWLING! everywhere!
• Getting to sitting position by herself
• Still toothless
• Very entertained by her big sister
• Reaches out for me when someone else is holding her & I walk by
• So much fun!
