Chicken Little

Jolie watched "Chicken Little" on Playhouse Disney this morning & then drew a picture of him with her sidewalk chalk. I decided it was cute enough to share (I've included a picture of Chicken Little so you can make the comparison):

Happy Belated Easter!

We had a great time spending Easter with Grandpa & Nonna this year. We returned home last night after almost a week at their house. We had a great time! We wanted to pack them up & bring them home with us! The next few posts are filled with pictures from our time in Corpus Christi. Here are the best pictures we got dressed up in our Easter best:

Easter Basket

Here is Jolie checking out her Easter basket before church:

Easter Cupcake

A local bakery makes these fun giant cupcakes. Nonna bought one for Jolie (& the rest of us) to enjoy on Easter. When Jolie spotted it in the laundry room Easter morning she asked Nonna, "Did the bunny bring it for you?"

Let's go fly a kite...

Grandpa & Daddy took Jolie to fly her first kite while we were visiting. They said Jolie did a great job holding on to the kite in the crazy Corpus Christi winds. They said the kite was in the air the minute they took it out of the car. Daddy took these cute pictures of their kite flying adventure:

Our little artist

One of Grandpa's hobbies is painting so he let Jolie create a few masterpieces on his easel. She was a huge fan! He said she took a step back from her work & and said, "I love it, I love it, I love it!" Here is our favorite little artist:

1st Green Beans

We've started introducing Sarah to the wonderful world of solid food. She has had carrots & as of today - green beans! Todd is working on a project outdoors & since the weather was beautiful today we all joined him. Here is Sarah (& Jolie) post green beans. Baby food - what a hassle!

I love these kids.

Here are my two favorite photos of the day:

Jolie during our photo shoot this afternoon. She always wears the boots outside.Sarah after she went to sleep tonight. She is a big fan of her little bear.

Sleepy girls

I took this picture of Sarah napping on our bed earlier this week. I thought it would be fun to see what Jolie looked like around the same age. So here are our little girls napping.

Sarah

Jolie

What a mess!

Jolie is good at so many things, but especially at making messes. This is what I found when I got out of the bathtub on Monday morning. This was the second roll of toilet paper she destroyed in just one week. We are so proud :) She saw this picture as I was uploading it & said, "look at that mess!" Silly girl.

Another 1st

I fed Sarah her first rice cereal this week. She has had one serving the past three days. She seems to like it & is a very good eater. Here she is after her first meal:

Sarah in action

This is for Nonna & Grandpa who haven't gotten to see sweet Sarah (or the rest of us) since Christmas. We can't wait to spend Spring break with you!

Potty Progress, Report #2

I'm happy to report that Jolie is doing GREAT with potty training. I'm almost in shock it's been so easy (so far). Some highlights include: sleeping in panties & staying dry, going without being asked, & filling up her potty chart (we are almost 1/2 way there!). If you were to drop by our house during the day she would probably be completely naked, but other than that I have very few complaints. She'll use the potty at church, but hasn't "had any tt in her" when we are out in other public places. So far she is accident free so I don't push her too hard to go when we are away from home. When she poops she gags & says, "it's SO gross!" Now she knows how I've been feeling the past THREE years! Hopefully, pooping will become no big deal very soon! Here's a look at her potty chart that I made her (this was taken Tues. morning). She puts a sticker in a flower each time she uses the potty. We are so proud of her!

Easter Treat

Special thanks to Gran & PawPaw who sent a box of treats for Easter. Jolie enjoyed looking through all the goodies. Here she is checking out the loot:

Growing Girl

I took these pictures of Sarah playing in her Exersaucer last night. I'm amazed at how much stronger she has gotten in just a month! She is becoming a pro at playing in this thing! She spins around & plays with all the toys. She also enjoys having a comfortable spot to "Jolie watch." She makes me smile :)
Jolie is always ready to get in a picture with her sister :)

Potty Progress

I was beginning to think Jolie was NEVER going to use the potty & then last Thursday she surprised me & used the potty for the very first time! She has used the potty off & on since Thursday. When we are at home she wears panties or runs around naked (her preference), but I'm not brave enough to leave the house without a pull-up on her! Here she is sitting on a potty full of tee tee:

Sarah at 5 months

Sarah is 5 months old today - wow! At 5 months she is out of our room & sleeping in her crib in the bedroom she shares with Jolie, "talking" more each day, is starting to "play" with her toys & prefers her milk straight from mommy(she's been refusing to take a bottle). She is so fun! Here she is at 5 months (I'm afraid she is going to be a thumbsucker):

Bathtime

Here is a little video of Sarah splashing around in the tub. The best part is listening to Jolie's commentary :) Such fun girls!

Sarah loves her feet

Sarah has found her feet & she loves to have at least one in hand all the time. If she's on her back she has a good hold on her feet.

Easter Dress Preview

Todd kept the girls while I did a little shopping earlier this week & I came home with their Easter dresses. We hope it's warm this Easter :)
